Vocational Evaluation Workshop

This interactive Vocational Evaluation Workshop was designed for vocational evaluators and allied professionals working in complex, trauma-informed and abuse-related files.

Hosted by the MindSense team and discussions led by Jennifer Griffiths, MS, RRP, CVRP, CCVE, ICVE the session was focused on strengthening vocational opinions through integrated assessment approaches, practical testing strategies, and how findings are clearly communicated. Participants explored how vocational and psychological perspectives intersect, and how thoughtful assessment design can improve clarity, validity, and decision-making across complex files.

Key areas of focus included:

  • Integrating vocational and psychological assessment findings
  • Applying trauma-informed principles without compromising clinical rigour
  • Broadening file review beyond resumes to better understand work history and functional capacity
  • Testing and accommodation considerations
  • Enhancing consistency and clarity in vocational reporting for downstream stakeholders

 

This workshop was CVRP-approved, allowing participants to apply their attendance toward Continuing Education (CE) credits.

The session encouraged peer discussion, practical insight sharing, and professional collaboration, supporting ongoing development and best practices within the vocational evaluation community.
